Cross-Cultural Communication skills is a relatively new term, referring to the ability to recognize cultural differences and similarities when dealing with someone from another culture and ability to recognize features of own behavior which are affected by culture.

 

About us

We are a small group of professionals trained abroad and in Canada as well, specialized in Cross-Cultural Communication issues.
All our team members have work experience in several countries and cultures, and are able to communicate in more languages.

Having various professional background we successfully designed different training modules and components to satisfy the specific needs of different social and business activities.

The founder and the leader of the group is

Istvan Horvath, MA
Mr. Horvath has studied Russian language and linguistics in Kolozsvár (Transylvania) in an historically multi-ethnic and multicultural region. After graduating he has worked as a teacher, and later as a translator. He moved to Budapest to be a journalist addressing ethnic minority and cultural issues. At the Central European University of Prague-Budapest he did a research in European comparative studies. In the '90s he went to work as a head of mission for humanitarian NGOs in war-torn countries like Bosnia, Chechnya, Dagestan. After immigrating to Canada he studied applied linguistics and cross-cultural communication at the Canada Institute of Linguistics.
